Can a movie get Americans talking about the national debt? I.O.U.S.A is going to try. The documentary, now showing in some 400 theaters around the country, uses an animation underscoring the perils of free spending to set the stage for interviews with numerous leaders across the ideological spectrum, each discussing the problem. There's no question that the U.S. faces critical and dangerous long-term financial challenges. The good news is that, once they know the facts, the public is at least willing to consider the tough choices that may be needed to fix it.
